Our Story
Pramesh and I (Mahesh) are the Hooka Brothers from East London. Our attraction for car customization and motorsport accessories started at a young age, selling and fitting car accessories.
Sharing a passion for cars in our community, we decided in 1988 to turn our hobby into a business named Hooka Developments, where we fitted and sold car accessories from our father’s garage. During the 4-year period, we received incredible support from the East London community to such an extent that we decided to expand our business to a retail shop in 1992. Trading for an additional 3 years under the banner of Hooka Developments, we decided in 1995 to change the brand name to Autostyling East London, the name shared with our Johannesburg family business, founded in 1993.
Having the added exposure of 2 branches in East London and Johannesburg, the demand soon increased enough to open another branch in Port Elizabeth. In 2000, Mahesh left our beloved hometown to open Autostyling PE. New to the city and people, Mahesh started focussing on building long term relationships with customers and suppliers through exceptional service. Through hard work and many sacrifices made, Mahesh built his business around the customers’ needs, allowing Autostyling to be one of the market leaders in accessories today.
Today 20 years later, we are still extremely passionate about automotive components and customer service. Our team of auto accessories experts, with well over 60 years combined auto experience, are here to assist your every auto need. We stock well over 10 000 products including sound, audio alarms, mag wheels, tyres, spoilers, bumpers, decals interior/exterior, cleaning products, and much more. We further extended our services to car sales in Port Elizabeth and East London. In 2019, our business partner opened a new store in Cape Town.
